In another first SBIOA(CC) was the first to publish book for promotion in the year 1979. The first publication ‘A Guide to Day to Day Banking’ was not only handy book for promotion and interviews but also became the first point of reference for all operative staff and also inspecting officials. We are proud to state that Day to Day Banking was more referred than Bank’s Book of Instructions.

We were the first to publish a book on Disciplinary Proceedings, Domestic Enquiry. It became a hand book for all not only Defence Representatives but also for presenting an Inquiry Officers. In May 2012 a new publication “One Point Reference Book for Defence Representatives” was released. Other publications which were most sought after were Handbook on SIB lending and Analysis of Financial Statement. Till now we have published 22 titles.

After the introduction of Examination Channel for promotion, our Circle was the first to bring out promotion books titled ‘Gateway to Promotion’ and ‘Stepping stone to Promotion’. These books are widely used and revised and updated annually. We are proud to state that our publication ‘Stepping stone to Promotion’ was provided as a handout in our prestigious staff college, Hyderabad to POs for preparing confirmation tests.

We were the first to start online test e-gateway on 27th May 2009. There were 30 test papers each containing 140 objective questions in the online test. Even before the bank started online test, we were the forerunners in introducing this.
