SBIOA has promoted various wings with the view of developing the latent talents amongst the members and to serve the society at large. The Literary Wing of the Association arranges periodical meetings, Seminars, Poet’s Meet titled ‘Kavithai Maalai’, Study Circles, Film Shows etc. with the assistance of experts in different fields and there are exchange of views among members. Books authored by member-poets are being released in Literary Meets and are being purchased by Government & Public Libraries besides individuals. This Institute was established in the year 1979. For trade union studies. Mr. Dharma rajan was the Programme Director. Many programmes like, ‘cadre camp’, journalism, DPC etc., were conducted. In 1993, at the initiative of Shri M. Dharmarajan and Shri M. Balakrishnan, Shri S. Saravanamuthu, Shri K. E. Kuppuswamy, the Languages wing was started. Earlier, we organized classes for office bearers . Later we conducted for SBI staff and now these courses are open to all.
